SpicyNodes is a way to visualize online information that mimics that way that people look for things in the real world. Bits of information — such as text, links, photos, and other media — are placed into "nodes". SpicyNodes can be used for everything from mind maps and content portals to organizational charts and lesson plans.
How does tool apply to your curricular area?
Spicynodes allows students to review information from a unit from any location. Students can review links that can include additional practice and return to areas in a unit that they feel they need extra assistance in.

Since Spicynodes allows you create concept maps and relate ideas, this tool can work great in allowing students to understand and analyze information. Since Spicynodes in free for individuals, students can be given the opportunity to create a spicynode as project. For example, students can be given the assignment to research a topic, create a spicynode, and have other students view their work.
